December is here! The month of overwhelm from marketing advertising in our inboxes, holiday parties, Christmas movies, sweets & treats, to family gatherings. It’s also a time when we spend more on gifts for family members, co-workers, friends, teachers, neighbors, postal carriers, etc.
According to the National Retail Federation (NRF), there was an increase of 14% over last year for a record number of over 189 million US consumers who had shopped from Thanksgiving Day through Cyber Monday. Overall, the NRF forecasts the sales will total between $727.9 and $730.7 billion this holiday season. Wow, that’s a lot of shopping!
As you add names to your holiday gift-giving list, do you ever consider adding your name to the list? Are your top gift items an instant pot, robot vacuum, wireless earbuds, or a weighted blanket? These are the hot gift items this year, but what about the gift of investing in yourself?
This year, I’ve had the pleasure of working with amazing clients who decided this was their year to gift themselves with the gift of “self-investment,” the greatest gift you can give yourself. Each client had their own reason for choosing this path. The best gift for me is, I’ve heard from a few former clients who have enjoyed the business benefit of the holiday shopping season!
When you “open this gift,” you will discover you’re in control of your destiny, growing your dreams, cultivating more time with family, and have the opportunity to create an income to be able to give back or even retire early. This month’s feature is the ideal concept for those who desire a business to invest in themselves and positively change the lives of others.
Be the best gift giver this year and treat yourself. Have a wonderful holiday season and Happy New Year!
P.S. The best gift I can receive is a referral. Know someone who has been considering owning their own business? Please share my contact information.
